Pop-A-Lock’s nationwide network of locksmith professionals and their ability to provide coordinated services to facility management professionals has propelled the nation’s largest locksmith to a new level, according to Don Marks, CEO of the Lafayette, La.-based corporation.

“I’m excited to announce on behalf of our more than 140 franchisees that Pop-A-Lock along with 11 other companies, including SYLVANNIA Lighting Services, are the newest Corporate Sustaining Partners for the International Facility Management Association,” Marks announced upon Pop-A-Lock’s official certification by the world’s largest professional association for facility management professionals.

“IFMA’s strong global reputation and its elite network of some of the world’s most trusted brands are a boost to the rising recognition of Pop-A-Lock’s unique position in an array of new industries,” Marks added.  “It elevates our image and name brand nationally and internationally.”

More importantly, Marks said, Pop-A-Lock will bring its brand of “higher standards” in locksmithing and site security technology and its continuous “24/7 - 365” service capabilities to facility professionals in a variety of industry-specific venues from high-performance office complexes to industrial warehouses.

“Site Security is one of the leading priorities for Facility Managers,” says IFMA contact Amy Jones.  “We are well aware that Pop-A-Lock will bring a range of opportunities to our members…nation-wide services along with education and awareness about the latest in site security to provide reliable services to our membership.  We’re happy to have the name Pop-A-Lock as a Corporate Sustaining Partner.”

According to Director of Marketing Scott Clause, the association with IFMA will benefit all of the Pop-A-Lock franchisees nationwide and the IFMA members as the company will be participate in major trade events, provide consultation and offer discounted locksmith pricing on large scale purchasing.

“And as simple as it may sound, IFMA members will know they are dealing with a trusted, reputable industry leader,” Clause says.  “There has been a wave of fraud in the locksmith industry across the United States.  Right now, Pop-A-Lock is engaged in a number of initiatives to curb this problem working with other reputable locksmiths and national associations.  Pop-A-Lock is also the only national locksmith recognized as a Preferred Provider by Prudential and Exit Real Estate and our alliance with IFMA makes a huge statement about our abilities, credibility and trusted reputation.”

Pop-A-Lock pioneered the Emergency Door Unlocking Program (EDU) in 1991 and has been committed to assisting emergency respondents nationwide to provide valuable free services in more than 4,000 communities nationwide. Since the launch of the program, Pop-A-Lock has rescued more than 200,000 car doors free of charge and continues to rescue hundreds more every day.
